Explaining that Galaxy Oil Shale produce oil shale, an organic-rich fine-grained sedimentary rock containing kerogen (a solid mixture of organic chemical compounds) from which liquid hydrocarbons can be produced. Oil shale itself is a significant alternative energy source, especially in regions where conventional oil is scarce. The presence of kerogen in oil shale makes it a valuable material, as it can be converted into synthetic crude oil through a process known as pyrolysis. This involves heating the rock to high temperatures in the absence of oxygen, causing the kerogen to decompose and release liquid hydrocarbons.
